Community organizations in Wetaskiwin County have until September 30, 2026, to apply for fall Community Grants through the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10. The grants, funded through the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) program, support local groups that offer programs promoting safe and healthy communities through preventative measures.
Eligible organizations can apply by emailing their completed grant application forms to [email protected] or dropping them off at the County office at 243019A Highway 13, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 2G5. For questions, contact Amber Tripp, FCSS Community Development Coordinator, at 780-352-3321 ext. 2292 or [email protected].
The FCSS program is an 80/20 funding partnership between the Government of Alberta and participating municipalities like the County of Wetaskiwin. It focuses on preventive social services, helping communities identify social needs, promote volunteerism, and support children, families, and seniors.
Organizations that received FCSS grants in the past must also submit their Grant Evaluation Forms by December 15, 2026. These evaluations are required to report on program outcomes and can be submitted to the same email or office address.
Past FCSS Community Grant recipients in the Wetaskiwin area include Horizons Centre, Wetaskiwin Seniors Activity Centre, Wetaskiwin Public Library, BGC Wetaskiwin, Norwood Parent Council, Wetaskiwin Art and Craft Centre, Carapace, Connect Wetaskiwin, Defenders of the Children RC, and Manluk Theatre for the Performing Arts.
