The Rotary Club of Neepawa is preparing to welcome visitors from across the region as the community hosts the 2026 District 5550 Conference on May 8 and 9. The event, held at ArtsForward at 293 Mountain Ave, serves as a hub for members to gather, share ideas, and strengthen their impact on local communities.
This year’s conference is particularly significant for Neepawa, as the event takes place in the home community of current District Governor Wayne Jacobsen. The district encompasses nearly 50 clubs stretching from Northwestern Ontario through Manitoba to the western border of Saskatchewan. The conference is designed as a space for participants to recharge their commitment to the organization and work toward a regional goal of reaching 1,200 members by July 1, 2026.
Hosting the district gathering highlights Neepawa‘s long-standing connection to the service organization. The local club, known as Club #1351, holds the distinction of being the third Rotary club formed in Manitoba, following those established in Winnipeg and Minnedosa.
According to District 5550, the two-day event aims to provide attendees with fresh perspectives to take back to their own clubs. It remains a key opportunity for local residents involved in the service group to build lasting connections with peers from across the three-province region.
