Sarnia-Lambton Rebound provided support to 1,680 young people in the 2024/25 year, continuing its mission to assist youth across the region through a wide range of programs and services. The organization, which operates out of Sarnia, Ontario, delivered 21 distinct programs last year, ranging from school re-engagement and housing assistance to mental health support and identity-affirming spaces.
The organization’s efforts were bolstered by significant community support, with volunteers contributing 8,905 hours of service during the same period. Under the leadership of executive director Michelle Holbrook, who first began volunteering with the agency in 1999 and returned to lead it in 2022, the group has focused on meeting the diverse needs of youth aged 8 to 24. According to Charity Intelligence Canada, the organization spent $1.8 million on its various programs during the 2024 fiscal year.
A key part of the agency’s recent work includes The NEST, an integrated drop-in service for youth aged 12 to 24. During the 2024-25 year, the space served 189 youth and provided 3,372 dinners to young people in the community.
Residents are invited to support the organization at an upcoming event, the Love Story Launch. This Taylor Swift-inspired fundraising cruise will take place on June 13, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. aboard the Duc d’Orléans on the St. Clair River. Details about the event and the organization’s ongoing services can be found at Rebound’s event page.
