Camrose County has lifted the seasonal weight restrictions on local roads, allowing heavy vehicles to resume normal operations as of May 7, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
While the weight limit ban is no longer in effect, the county reports that several road closures remain in place due to damage and infrastructure repairs. Drivers are advised to plan their routes carefully, particularly in areas near Armena and New Norway.
According to the county, Range Road 184 between Township Road 472 and Township Road 474 is closed to all traffic following a road washout. Additionally, Range Road 211 north of Main Street in Armena is also closed due to a washout. This closure restricts access to the Armena Truck Fill, which can only be reached from the north at this time.
Maintenance work is also impacting travel. Township Road 482 between Range Road 184 and Range Road 185 is closed from May 8 to May 11, 2026, to accommodate a culvert replacement.
The county has issued Road Ban Order No. 02/26, which is now in effect following the removal of the previous spring thaw restrictions. Residents and commercial drivers with questions regarding road status are encouraged to reach out to the Camrose County public works department for the most current information.
