The Grimsby Museum has announced its lineup of summer programming for 2026, featuring a variety of community events and workshops for residents. The season includes a presentation on the history of rare tulips, an outdoor market, and a photography workshop.
Local resident Maria Tran Von Bulow will lead the event My Tulip Journey on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The presentation will trace the history of rare tulip bulbs from their origins in Central Asia to Grimsby, with support from the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington.
The museum is also hosting its second annual Vintage and Creative Summer Market on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event offers free admission and will feature handmade goods from local vendors alongside a free crafting station for children. The Town of Grimsby is currently accepting vendor applications for the market until June 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
For those interested in photography, Darren Creighton, a photographer from Welland with two decades of experience in the Niagara Region, will lead a workshop at the museum in August 2026.
