Residents of the Rural Municipality of Hanover will have the opportunity to share their feedback on several property development requests during a public hearing on May 27, 2026. The meeting will take place at 4:15 p.m. at the municipal office located at 28 Westland Drive.
The Rural Municipality of Hanover council will review nine land use files during the session. These include three conditional use requests from Stefan Kurz, Thomas Van Dycke, and Andrew Kornelsen. The agenda also features two variance order applications from Three Way Builders Ltd., along with a conditional use and a variance order for Benjamin Block. Additionally, Andrew Kornelsen has submitted two separate variance orders for consideration.
Under local conditional use rules, the municipality requires specific approvals for certain property types to ensure they are suitable for their proposed locations. Residents are invited to attend the hearing to view the plans or speak directly to the council members regarding any of the nine applications before a final decision is reached.
The council, led by Reeve Jim Funk and including six ward councillors, oversees these planning processes. These meetings are a standard part of municipal operations, allowing for public participation in land use decisions that shape the community.
