The Municipality of the County of Antigonish is urgently seeking a full-time collection team member to join its waste management department to ensure local pickup services continue without interruption. The role involves operating collection vehicles to gather garbage, recyclables, and organics from approximately 6,800 homes throughout the county.
Based at the Solid Waste Management Facility at 261 Beech Hill Road, the successful candidate will report to the public works department under the leadership of Director of Public Works Daryl Myers. In addition to collection duties, the position includes responsibilities for equipment maintenance and ensuring safety compliance on the job.
To qualify for the role, applicants must hold a Class 3 Driver’s License with an Air Brake Endorsement. The municipality has stated that it is organizing interviews quickly to fill the position as soon as possible.
