The Extravaganza Gravity Festival at Keppoch Mountain in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is expanding from two days to three this fall. The event runs October 9 to 11, 2026, with a new Friday afternoon of shuttle access and open practice from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by races and competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
Registration is now open on the Zone4 platform. Saturday’s Skyline Downhill race costs $25 for all categories. Sunday’s Enduro race is $65 for adults and $45 for youth aged 16 and under. The popular Granite Whip-Off competition also returns, where riders are judged on amplitude, style, and whip execution.
The extra day gives riders more time to get comfortable on the trails before the races. Keppoch Mountain has nine designated downhill trails, including Skyline, and offers shuttle service from late May to late October. The venue is a former alpine ski hill turned four-season outdoor recreation facility operated by the non-profit Positive Action for Keppoch (PAK) Society.
Race participants must have a Cycling Nova Scotia membership or purchase a One Event Membership for insurance coverage. Local sponsor Pete’s Cyclery and Outdoor Shop, established in 2023 in Antigonish, provides rentals, repairs, and coaching for riders.
The festival’s growth reflects increasing interest in gravity mountain biking across Atlantic Canada. What began as a one-day Keppoch Gravity Festival in August 2019 has evolved into a three-day competitive event with more racing options and practice time.
