The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested two Hamilton men in connection with a series of six residential break-and-enter incidents that took place in Burlington between June 2025 and January 2026.
Investigators from the 3 District (Burlington) Criminal Investigations Bureau report that the accused, 57-year-old Albert King and his 57-year-old brother, John King, targeted homes by breaking windows and checking for unlocked doors. No residents were home at the time of these incidents, and the stolen items consisted primarily of cash and jewelry.
Albert King faces five counts of break and enter, while John King has been charged with one count. Following these arrests, police are continuing to remind residents of the importance of home security. While Burlington recorded the highest rate of break-and-enter incidents in the Halton region in 2025, with 172 per 100,000 people, overall property crime across the region saw a 4.3 per cent decrease during that same period. The local police service continues to focus on investigations, having processed over 4,000 arrests throughout the previous year.
