The free Legacy Park Family Festival returns to downtown Fort Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Sponsored by Keyera, the event has been a community staple for over 30 years.
Edmonton’s Beppie, a two-time JUNO-nominated children’s musician, will headline the stage with her high-energy mix of music, stories, and humour. The festival also brings YouthFest art experiences, a chalk art contest with categories for youth, emerging artists, advanced artists, and families, plus live performances all day.
A favourite tradition, the Sheep Return Parade, starts at 1:00 PM and welcomes about 50 sheep back to local parks for their summer grazing season. The Fort Heritage Precinct has run the eco-friendly program since 1992, using the flock to keep grass trimmed while giving residents and visitors a unique attraction.
Families can also enjoy inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, caricature artists, and 13 food trucks. Autism Edmonton will provide a sensory room to make the festival more inclusive. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
