Oxford County’s Pride Month celebrations are set to begin June 1, 2026, with a flag-raising ceremony in Woodstock and include family-friendly events in Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and beyond throughout the month. Oxford County Pride and Warden Marcus Ryan are inviting the community to take part in the festivities.
The opening flag-raising will happen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, outside the Oxford County Administration Building at 21 Reeve Street in Woodstock. The event is a public welcome to join in recognition of Pride Month.
On Saturday, June 6, families can head to Commonplace Books in Ingersoll for Rainbow Storytime featuring Ms. Rubyyy. The event runs from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and is co-hosted by Oxford County Library, Woodstock Public Library and Oxford County Pride.
The celebrations continue with Pride Family Day on Saturday, June 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Museum Square in Woodstock. Oxford County Library will host a booth at the event with activities and entertainment for all ages.
Oxford County Library branches across the county, including Tillsonburg, will feature Pride Month-themed displays, crafts and activities throughout June. The Tillsonburg Branch will offer a beaded keychain craft, while the Ingersoll Branch will have craft kits and button-making activities. Oxford County Library has also curated a collection of 2SLGBTQIA+ titles and resources for children, teens and adults available through the library.
This year’s events come as Tera Russell-Curtis leads Oxford County Pride as president, having taken on the role in October 2025. The committee has grown to include a new Indigenous Ambassador and Gender Diversity Ambassador, reflecting broader community representation.
