Families in Tillsonburg, Ontario, have until June 30 to lock in savings on youth hockey registration for the 2026-2027 season through Tillsonburg Minor Hockey Inc. (TMHI). Early bird pricing cuts fees by $50 to $100 per player, depending on the age division, compared to standard rates that kick in on July 1.
Registration officially opened on June 1 and will remain open through August 1, but the early bird window closes at the end of this month. After that, a family registering a child in the under-18 co-ed Tornadoes division, for example, will pay $900 instead of $800.
TMHI runs teams for players aged 4 to 17, including both co-ed Tornadoes and girls-only Lightning squads. The association operates under the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and within the South Oxford Minor Hockey region.
Additional discounts can lower the cost further. Goalies from under-9 to under-18 receive a 50 per cent discount at registration, and families registering three or more registrants qualify for a $150 discount. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and any division that reaches capacity will move new registrants onto a waitlist.
Games and practices take place at the Tillsonburg Community Centre on Hardy Avenue, which houses three indoor ice surfaces. The season is expected to begin in late September 2026, with teams allowed to start sanctioned activities on September 8.
