The Beaumont Alberta Farmers Market kicked off its 2026 summer season on Thursday, May 28, bringing fresh food, live music, and family activities back to the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre parking lot at 5303 50th Street in Beaumont, Alberta.
Running every Thursday through September 24, the market operates from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from May to August, then shift to 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in September to match earlier sunsets. As the first and only farmers market in Beaumont, it has grown alongside the city, now serving a community with over 500 home-based businesses.
New and returning features this year include the Market Buds program, where children can complete a free weekly activity to earn a $3 token to spend at participating vendor booths. Shoppers can also pick up a loyalty card and a free reusable bag at the information booth. Each week, a live performer sponsored by the Beaumont Arts Grant will provide entertainment, including musicians and artists.
The market is an official member of the Alberta Farmers’ Market Association (AFMA) and takes part in its Verified Vendors Program, so residents can look for the badge to know which vendors have been independently checked.
Beaumont’s population reached 26,305 in 2025 after growing 6.3 per cent, making it one of the fastest-growing communities in the Edmonton region. The market gives many of the city’s home-based businesses a place to meet customers face to face each week.
Beyond the summer season, specialty markets are planned for Thanksgiving on Sunday, October 4, and Christmas on Sunday, December 20. Both will be held at different venues, keeping the market’s tradition of seasonal events alive for a sixth year.
