Teens and families in Taber can look forward to a free afternoon of music, dancing, and crafts as the Taber Public Library hosts a K-Pop Party on Friday, June 26, 2026. The event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the library’s Program Room and Courtyard, marking the end of the school year and the beginning of summer break.
The party is designed for young people and will feature DJ Chris Nguyen spinning music, along with K-pop themed crafts and a hair tinsel station. The library says students can enjoy an afternoon of activities to celebrate the start of summer vacation. There is no cost to attend.
The library has a track record of putting on pop culture events for youth. In 2025 it received a Rewards for Excellence and Distinction, or READ, award for a 2024 Swiftie Party. This K-Pop Party continues that approach of offering themed programming that appeals to teens in the community.
Taber Public Library is part of the Chinook Arch Regional Library System, which includes 33 libraries across southern Alberta. The library is located at 5415-50th Avenue in Taber.
