Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, is about to add a major outdoor recreation spot as the Co-operative Bike Park moves into its final stages, with an official opening date set to be announced this spring.
The bike park, located at 4733 – 54 Street in the Co-operative Park area alongside the Spray Park and Skateboard Park, will feature a pump track and a treed skills area. According to the Town of Rocky Mountain House, the project is now in its final stages of completion.
Rocky Mountain House has been growing fast, with a population reaching 8,144 in 2025—an 18.38 percent jump over five years, one of the highest rates in Alberta. Mayor Shane Boniface, elected in October 2025, now leads a council that adopted a 2026 to 2030 strategic plan on April 21, 2026.
With the bike park’s opening date just around the corner, residents can look forward to a new place for outdoor fun in their expanding community.
