Downtown Brandon will be buzzing with activity on Saturday, June 20, 2026, as the Brandon Downtown BIZ hosts two free community events. A Cultural Community Market runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Princess Park, while the Kick’n Off Summer Block Party takes over the corner of 12th Street and Princess Avenue from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Both events promise a full day of food, music, and shopping for families and residents.
The Cultural Community Market will fill Princess Park with vendors offering multicultural cuisine, a kids’ corner, and unique shopping in what organizers describe as a vibrant atmosphere. Running from mid-morning through early evening, it gives residents a chance to explore the heart of the city in a relaxed setting.
Just a few blocks away, the Kick’n Off Summer Block Party will bring live music, a makers market, food, and beer to the street. Co-hosted by Section 6 Brewing Co. and The Dock on Princess, the event runs late into the night and aims to draw crowds downtown for an afternoon and evening of entertainment.
The two events are part of Brandon Downtown BIZ’s ongoing effort to bring people back to the city centre. The organization, which represents downtown business owners and operators, has been supporting summer staples like Music in the Park and Downtown Cruise Night, along with the newer Downtown Outdoor Art Grant program. Executive Director Emmy Sanderson says events like these create a blueprint for revitalizing the area by boosting foot traffic and giving people more reasons to visit.
With both events free and family-friendly, organizers expect a busy afternoon that showcases the growing mix of cultures and businesses in Brandon’s downtown core.
