The Town of Quispamsis is bringing back its free outdoor summer series next month, giving residents a chance to enjoy movies, yoga and live music at the Arts and Culture Park. The Movies, Movement and Music in the Park program kicks off the week of July 8 and runs into September.
Movement in the Park starts things off on July 8 with Yoga in the Park, happening every Wednesday through August 12. Two of those sessions, on July 15 and July 29, move to the pickleball courts at the qplex and need pre-registration. Movies in the Park begins the next night, July 9, with the film GOAT, and runs Thursdays through August 27. Free popcorn is part of the deal, and folks are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Then on July 14, Music in the Park opens with a performance by Rock N’ Roll Cowgirl, with concerts continuing on Tuesdays right through September 1.
All the events take place at the Arts and Culture Park on the open-air George S. Miller Stage, right beside Town Hall at 12 Landing Court. Washrooms are available on site. The summer series has been a community favourite for years, with records showing similar programming stretching back to at least 2012.
This year’s program arrives under new town leadership. Mary Schryer was sworn in as Quispamsis mayor on May 25, 2026, after running unopposed in the May 11 election. She heads a council that includes Deputy Mayor Kerrie Luck and councillors Mike Biggar, Emil Olsen, Beth Thompson, Kirk Miller, Noah Donovan and Doug MacDonald.
