A chance to soak local law enforcement officers while supporting Special Olympics athletes is coming to St. Paul, Alberta, on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The fundraiser runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. in the Sobeys parking lot at 3937 49 Avenue.
Members of the St. Paul RCMP, Alberta Sheriffs, and Probation officers will take turns in the dunk tank. It costs $5 for one ball, $10 for three balls, or $25 for a guaranteed push-button dunk. Food will also be available for purchase at the event, and all proceeds go directly to Special Olympics Alberta programs.
The dunk tank is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, known globally as the largest public awareness and grassroots fundraising organization for Special Olympics. Across Alberta, torch run events raise over $100,000 every year to support year-round sports opportunities for more than 3,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities.
With the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games set for August 11–15 in Medicine Hat, local athletes are actively training and competing. This fundraiser helps cover costs and ensures the St. Paul area remains connected to those larger competitions.
