Quispamsis has posted an updated road construction notice for the week of June 22 to 28, 2026, as crews move to new sites across town. The notice, available on the Town of Quispamsis website, replaces last week’s advisory and reflects the latest work schedule in the 2026 Street Capital Upgrades program.
Seven streets are affected this week. On Jenkins Drive, workers will install base asphalt, while Forrester’s Road sees storm sewer and curb work. Crews will also install driveway culverts on Sunny Lane, Colt Drive, and Pacer Drive. Heather Street is scheduled for ditch cleaning, and the QR Trail undergoes grading, structure adjustments, paving, shouldering, and line painting.
This work is part of a $2.19-million contract awarded to Galbraith Construction Ltd., which began in early June and is expected to last into late August or early September. The program budget had been set at $2.27 million but came in under because asphalt prices were lower than expected.
Motorists should expect delays. The town says it will try to keep at least one lane open or use flag persons to guide traffic through work areas. Residents are encouraged to check the weekly notice for specific location details and plan alternate routes when possible.
