Steinbach’s popular Movie in the Park event returns to A.D. Penner Park on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 9 p.m., offering a free outdoor screening of Zootopia 2 for local families.
The City of Steinbach hosts this annual summer tradition, which is sponsored by Steinbach Credit Union. Everyone from Steinbach and the area is welcome at no cost.
This year’s film, Zootopia 2, continues the animated adventure that families can enjoy together under the open sky. Past movies have included Kung Fu Panda 4 in 2024 and Dog Man in 2025, though last year’s event was pushed from August 8 to August 22 because of weather.
The event shows the community spirit supported by local groups. Steinbach Credit Union has sponsored the movie night for several years and is one of Manitoba’s largest credit unions, with over 115,000 members.
Attendees are reminded to bring their own chairs or blankets to A.D. Penner Park, the city’s largest park, which has walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic spots. For updates, residents can check the city’s official notice.
