Teams of any size or age can take part in the Amazing Race Neepawa on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event, organized by ArtsForward, sends participants to more than 20 stops at local businesses and organizations across Neepawa, Manitoba.
The race starts and ends at ArtsForward, located at 293 Mountain Avenue, where teams pick up their passports between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on race day. According to organizers, a free barbecue waits at the finish line. To get a head start, teams must register online by July 12 to receive an Express Pass.
The event returns after earning the 2026 Tourism Westman Event of the Year award in the budget under $10,000 category. In 2025, the race drew 39 teams and about 1,000 visitors. Tourism Westman praised how the event combines public art, interactive exploration, and cultural celebration.
Beyond the fun, the Amazing Race helps bridge connections in the community. Past challenges included karaoke at a Filipino restaurant, bringing together newcomers and long-time residents. ArtsForward also runs year-round programs in health, arts, culture, music, and language for all ages, and organizes events like Indigenous Culture Day.
The race is one of many ways ArtsForward works to enrich life in Neepawa, a town of about 5,700 people where nearly half the population has Filipino roots. The event shows how a small-town arts group can create a tourism draw that celebrates the whole community.
