The Steinbach Arts Council has announced its 2026-2027 Concert Series and Added Attractions lineup, with all tickets going on sale July 20. The season brings five professional concerts and four additional community events to local venues, with ticket prices ranging from free to $40 for adults and student discounts available.
The concert series opens October 22 with a musical theatre performance by Dry Cold Productions at SRSS Theatre. The season highlight is the return of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Holiday Tour on December 8 at Crossview Church. On January 23, 2027, GRAMMY-nominated Canadian jazz artist Laila Biali brings her Joni Mitchell and Canadian Songbook tribute to Steinbach. Biali is a 2026 GRAMMY nominee for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The series continues February 9, 2027 with Junction Quartet, featuring string players from the WSO, and wraps up March 7, 2027 with piano duets by Darryl Friesen and Chris Kayler at Grace Mennonite Church.
The Added Attractions lineup starts with community drama The Crucible on October 2-3 and 9-10. Manitoba comedian Matt Falk performs November 13, followed by family theatre Silly Billy by Chimera Dance Theatre on January 21, 2027. The season closes with a free performance of Growing Carrots by Manitoba Theatre for Young People on March 19, 2027.
The formal indoor season does not replace the popular KR Barkman Concerts in the Park outdoor series, which continues as a separate free program. That summer series runs May 20 to June 17, 2026 at KR Barkman Park.
