Owen Sound, ON – Residents can expect a dramatic shift from sunny skies to wet and windy weather early this week, according to Environment Canada.
Monday, July 20, 2026, will stay sunny with a high of 25°C and a humidex making it feel like 28. The UV index is very high at 8, so anyone heading outside should use sun protection. Winds will pick up from the southwest at 30 km/h later in the afternoon.
After midnight, clouds will increase and bring showers along with a risk of thunderstorms. The low will be 18°C, with southwest winds continuing at 30 km/h. Tuesday will be wet with more showers and a risk of thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts are expected to be between 10 and 15 mm.
Winds will shift and strengthen through the day. Early on, southwest winds of 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h will become northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h by late afternoon. The high will be 24°C with a humidex of 32, but the UV index drops to a moderate 3.
On the water, a strong wind warning is in effect for Georgian Bay. Southwest winds of 15 to 25 knots are expected through Tuesday, with waves building to 1.5 metres. Mariners and those with waterfront plans should be cautious and secure any outdoor items.
