A free outdoor concert by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra will fill Legacy Park in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, with music on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The performance, part of the ESO Outdoors series presented by RE/MAX, is open to everyone with admission by donation.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy an evening of symphonic music at the Legacy Park Bandshell, located at 10005 100 Avenue. This is the latest in a series of annual summer concerts the orchestra has brought to the community, continuing a tradition of outdoor performances that began in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ESO and Winspear Centre, both non-profit organizations, rely on community support and donations to bring live music to communities across the Edmonton region. The Fort Saskatchewan concert is one of several outdoor events planned for August, aiming to make orchestral music accessible to residents right in their own neighbourhood.
Now in its 75th season, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra includes 56 professional musicians from Canada and around the world. The orchestra has deep roots in Fort Saskatchewan, having played its first “run-out” concert there back in 1956, just a year before moving into the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
