Thompson RCMP have arrested a 19-year-old woman after an early morning stabbing at a residence on Princeton Drive on August 6, 2026. The suspect, Suvanna Bonner, is from Thompson and faces a charge of aggravated assault. She remains in custody.
Officers were called to the home at about 1:40 a.m. and found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound. He was treated by EMS and taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Police say Bonner was located at a nearby location and arrested without incident.
Investigators confirm the suspect and victim were known to each other. The investigation is ongoing.
Aggravated assault under the Criminal Code involves wounding, maiming, disfiguring or endangering the life of another person. The maximum penalty for the offence is 14 years in prison.
Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
