Highs will range from 23°C to 26°C through the rest of the week, with Wednesday turning increasingly cloudy and a 30 per cent chance of showers on Thursday. No weather alerts are currently in effect.
At noon on Monday, the weather station at Oak Point Marine recorded a temperature of 19.5°C, humidity of 53 per cent, and north-northwest winds at 18 km/h gusting to 28 km/h. The UV index is expected to reach 6, which is considered high, so residents are advised to use sunscreen if spending time outdoors.
For Sandy Bay, which is located on the western shore of Lake Manitoba, this week’s forecast is close to seasonal normals. Typical August highs are around 24°C, with about 10 hours of sunshine daily. The community’s outdoor spaces, including its recreational facilities, will likely see good use as the weather improves.
