Bridgewater Police Service officers, working with Lunenburg District RCMP, arrested three people and recovered a stolen SUV after a traffic stop on Highway 103 near Wileville on August 11, 2026. Officers also seized an imitation handgun, cocaine, prescription medication, cash, scales, and other drug paraphernalia.
At 8:10 a.m., Bridgewater Police were alerted by Lunenburg District RCMP that the occupants of an SUV were involved in a firearms complaint in the Upper Branch area of Lunenburg County. Police intercepted the vehicle at Exit 13 in Wileville and conducted a high-risk traffic stop, arresting two adult males and one adult female without incident.
The SUV had been reported stolen from a residence in First South. No shots were fired during the arrest, and no injuries were reported.
The three adults have been released on undertakings with conditions and are scheduled to appear at Bridgewater Justice Centre on October 7, 2026, for arraignment. Additional charges related to theft, drugs, and weapons are pending as the investigation continues.
