Thursday is expected to be the warmest day of the stretch, reaching 29°C with a low of 13°C. Friday will remain sunny with a high of 28°C and an overnight low of 11°C. No weather alerts are currently in effect for the City of Regina.
The start of the week brought a 30 percent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms on Monday afternoon, with similar unsettled conditions Tuesday morning. Winds at Regina International Airport reached 36 km/h with gusts up to 56 km/h on Monday.
Severe thunderstorm activity affected parts of Saskatchewan on Sunday, August 23, with watches and warnings issued for areas including Moose Jaw and Blackstrap Provincial Park. East Central Saskatchewan also faced a potential for landspouts on Monday afternoon.
The upcoming sunny period will bring above-normal temperatures for late August, as Regina’s climate normals for this time of year show typical highs of 23°C and lows of 8°C.
