The Tillsonburg Skating Club is expanding its 2026-2027 season with new Tuesday night CanSkate sessions, giving local families a second weekly option alongside the traditional Thursday slot. Registration is now open, and the club is encouraging parents to sign up early to take advantage of the expanded schedule.
The Tillsonburg Skating Club announced that CanSkate, Canada’s national learn-to-skate program, will be offered on Tuesdays at 5:20 p.m. starting September 22, 2026, and Thursdays at 5:45 p.m. starting September 24, 2026. Families can choose one day or both. Skaters must be at least 3 years old by December 31, 2026 to participate.
More advanced skaters in the STAR Skate and Fast Track programs will begin even sooner, with their first sessions on Tuesday, September 2, 2026, at the Tillsonburg Community Centre at 45 Hardy Avenue. All programs run through March 10, 2027.
Fall registration opened August 24, 2026. Families can save $300 on registration fees by completing eight volunteer credits over the full season, according to the club’s volunteering page. The Tillsonburg Skating Club, founded in 1952, is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization sanctioned by Skate Canada and offers programs from learn-to-skate to competitive figure skating at the community centre’s three indoor ice surfaces.
