Pitt Meadows residents can expect a pleasant mix of sun and cloud in the week ahead as they head toward the Labour Day long weekend, with no weather alerts in effect, according to Environment Canada.
On Monday, August 31, 2026, the temperature reached 25.1°C at 2:00 PM PDT, with a humidex of 27. The forecast for Tuesday, September 1, shows a 30% chance of showers with a high of 20°C, while Wednesday, September 2, is expected to bring showers and a high of 19°C.
Thursday, September 3, carries a 40% chance of showers with a high of 17°C, but conditions improve by Friday and Saturday with a mix of sun and cloud and highs of 19°C and 21°C respectively.
While the immediate weather outlook is calm, city officials continue to monitor flood risks. Approximately 95% of Pitt Meadows lies within the Fraser River and Pitt River floodplains, protected by about 60 kilometres of dikes. However, much of the dike system was rebuilt between 1977 and 1989 to 1969 design elevations, which are now considered too low for today’s criteria.
