Residents along Cedar Ridge Boulevard and Clarwood Drive in Quispamsis who want to connect to the new municipal watermain have until Monday, September 14 to have contractors express interest in doing the work.
The Town of Quispamsis is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to supply and install water pipes for individual homes between Ridge Manor Drive and Hampton Road. This is a follow-up to last year’s Cedar Ridge Boulevard watermain expansion, which extended the town’s water distribution pipe along that stretch.
Unlike a standard municipal job, the town is acting only as a middleman. It is gathering contractor information and unit pricing, but each property owner must sign their own contract with a contractor. “The Town is assisting local residents with contacts, information and unit pricing provided by approved contractors through this expression of interest,” the request states.
The work includes digging trenches and installing new one-inch pipe from the existing curbstops to home basements. Homeowners are responsible for hiring a plumber for the final indoor connection and for properly decommissioning any existing wells on their property.
Contractors must submit an Expression of Interest by noon on Monday, September 14, 2026, to Quispamsis Town Hall at 12 Landing Court. Anyone who misses that deadline may not be able to get the work done during the current construction season.
The original watermain project was approved by town council as part of the 2025 Utility Capital Program. Paving on Cedar Ridge Boulevard was completed in December 2025, and work resumed this spring. The town has not said how many homes are expected to connect.
