Beaumont RCMP responded to 361 calls for service in August 2026, an increase from 313 calls in July. That is 48 more calls, or a 15.3 percent rise, according to the detachment’s monthly report.
The numbers are shared each month through the City of Beaumont’s Civic Alerts system as part of routine RCMP reporting to residents. Weekly summaries are also available on the City’s RCMP webpage.
August calls covered a wide range of incident types, including traffic violations, break and enters, assaults, fraud, wellbeing checks, mental health-related calls, and false alarms. In total, the calls fell into 40 different categories.
The Beaumont RCMP operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week from its detachment at 5501 Magasin Ave. During busy periods and community events, officers from neighbouring detachments, such as Leduc, sometimes help with patrols in Beaumont.

Monthly call volumes in Beaumont often rise in the summer. July and August tend to be busier than winter months, and the August increase follows that seasonal pattern.
