Dauphin residents will be able to put large items out for curbside collection starting October 13, 2026, when the city begins its annual fall clean-up.
The City of Dauphin posted a notice on its website on September 18 announcing the start date. Residents are asked to check the city website for restrictions on what can be left at the curb, because some items need special handling or must be taken to the waste diversion centre instead.
Dauphin runs a four-day curbside collection schedule for garbage, recycling, and yard waste, with pickups on Tuesdays through Fridays every second week. Households should watch for details about when clean-up crews will be in their area, as collection works through the city’s four pickup days.
The city has a Diversion Centre at the Waste Disposal Site where hazardous and recyclable items can be dropped off free of charge all year.
This year’s fall clean-up comes after Dauphin dealt with major flooding in July, when the city declared a local emergency after getting more than 115 millimetres of rain in a short period.
