Local entrepreneurs and artisans will have a chance to showcase their goods at the Thanksgiving Vendor Market in Standoff, Alberta on Friday, October 2 and Friday, October 9, 2026.
Blood Tribe Economic Development is hosting the market from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at the Standoff Multi-Purpose Building. The event gives Kainai Nation residents an opportunity to support local businesses and find unique items for Thanksgiving.

The market continues a successful tradition of seasonal events hosted by Blood Tribe Economic Development. Earlier this year, the department held a Valentine’s Day Market on February 6, 2026 at the same location, featuring local vendors selling blankets, bannock, beadwork, jewelry, apparel, and dirty sodas. Based on that success, Wolf Child has planned to hold holiday markets more frequently.
Blood Tribe Economic Development supports small businesses through grants, training, workshops, and a resource center. In August 2025, the department launched a Small Business Directory to showcase local entrepreneurs at no cost.
