Didsbury Municipal Library has launched its fall lineup with several new programs for adults, teens, and kids. The schedule runs through October 2026 and mixes returning favourites with first-time events, with details and registration on the library’s website.
New adult offerings include The Craft Social on October 1, an evening where people can bring their own project and craft alongside others. On October 5, local florist Andie Tersigni leads Fall Florals with Friends, a $50 class to create a fall table arrangement. Space for that class is capped at 12 participants.
The library is also offering a Kinusaiga Class on October 19. It teaches the Japanese art of making pictures with fabric scraps, costs $45, and requires pre-registration. The class runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
For kids and families, Let’s Build is a LEGO and building-block session on October 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The library continues established programs such as Munchkin Mania, Adventure Babies, Crafternoon, Teen Scene, and Senior’s Games. Munchkin Mania is sponsored by Didsbury Value Drug Mart.
Young adult readers can test their knowledge at ACOTAR Trivia Night on October 22 at 6:30 p.m. The event focuses on the Sarah J. Maas fantasy series, costumes are encouraged, and prizes are sponsored by Under the Cover Romance Bookstore. The event is a collaboration with MVFRN.
October is Canadian Library Month, and the Didsbury library is marking Canadian Library Workers Day on October 16 by inviting residents to stop in and say hello to staff on Friday, October 17.
