The Cumberland County Ramblers earned silver medals at the Nova Scotia U18 AA Provincial Hockey Championship held at the New Waterford and District Community Centre from April 3 to April 5, 2026.
The Ramblers, representing the Amherst area through the Cumberland County Minor Hockey Association, faced the Strait Richmond Pirates in the final game of the five-team tournament. The Pirates defeated the Ramblers 4-0 to secure the provincial title.
During the championship match, Pirates forward Owen Burns recorded a hat trick, while teammate Jack Gracie also scored. Pirates goaltender Inigo Martinez stopped all 23 shots he faced to earn the shutout, while Ramblers goaltender Braxton Bickford was tagged with the loss.
The two teams had previously met during the tournament round robin on Saturday, April 4, 2026, finishing in a 2-2 tie after a five-minute overtime period. This provincial tournament was hosted by the New Waterford Minor Hockey Association and included the New Waterford Sharks, TASA Ducks, and Bedford Blues as competing teams.
