On Monday, mainly sunny skies with a high of 26 degrees Celsius are expected to make it feel like 29 with the humidex. Winds from the southwest could gust up to 40 kilometres per hour this afternoon.
Overnight, skies will become partly cloudy with fog patches developing as temperatures drop to 12 degrees. Tuesday will bring even more sunshine and a high of 27 degrees. The mainly sunny conditions continue Tuesday, with a mix of sun and cloud expected Wednesday and Thursday, when the temperature is forecast to reach 30 degrees on Thursday, before a 60 per cent chance of showers arrives on Friday.
Environment Canada rates the UV index at 7, or high, so residents spending time outdoors are advised to use sunscreen and wear protective clothing. No weather alerts are in effect for the area, and according to AccuWeather, the air quality is considered excellent.
