Residents and visitors can now buy tickets for the 161st Antigonish Highland Games in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The event will take place from July 5, 2026, to July 12, 2026, and stands as the oldest continuous Highland Games in North America.
The Antigonish Highland Society opened ticket sales at 10:00 AM on March 2, 2026. Most festival events will be held at Columbus Field, which will host traditional competitions in piping, drumming, and Highland dancing.
On the night of Saturday, July 11, 2026, local bands Beech Hill and Coastline are set to perform on the main stage. These groups are known for their traditional and contemporary Celtic music, providing entertainment for the thousands of people expected to attend the summer festival.
Along with musical performances, the week will feature the Ancient Scottish Heavy Events, cultural workshops, and a five-mile road race. The games have been a part of the local community since 1863 and continue to serve as a major summer attraction for the northern part of the province.
