The Simcoe County District School Board is hosting an information night on March 5, 2026, to help students in Barrie, Ontario, explore future career and education paths. The event takes place at Innisdale Secondary School to help families plan for life after high school.
The session runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and focuses on both the skilled trades and traditional college or university options. Students will have the chance to meet directly with industry professionals and recruiters to ask questions about apprenticeships and training programs.
Several organizations will be at the school to provide information, including the Barrie Construction Association and Georgian College. Representatives from the Canadian Armed Forces and various Ontario universities will also be available to speak with attendees.
School board officials say the evening is designed to connect students with potential employers and educational institutions in one location. This direct access is intended to help local youth navigate their options for training and education more easily.
