Beaumont, Alberta, is inviting new and long-time residents to a free community connection session later this month. The event, called Welcome to Beaumont: Community, Connection & Support, takes place on July 30, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Beaumont Community Centre at 5204 50 Avenue.
The City of Beaumont is working with Beaumont Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and the Thrive Navigation Foundation to put on the session. Organizers say the evening will cover practical topics like finding healthcare, navigating the school system, accessing recreation programs, and understanding local housing options. There will also be time to meet new people and ask questions in a relaxed setting.
This kind of community programming comes as Beaumont continues to grow quickly. The city is the fastest growing in the Edmonton Metro Region, with a population of about 26,305 in 2025 and projections to reach 30,000 by 2030. Newly elected Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, who won the mayor’s seat in October 2025, has stressed the importance of keeping Beaumont’s close-knit feel while managing that growth.
The host venue, the Beaumont Community Centre, is a 30,000 square foot facility with room for up to 500 people standing, making it a natural gathering spot for community events. The July 30 session is free and open to everyone, whether you just moved to town or have lived here for years and want to feel more connected.
