The Beaumont RCMP responded to 58 calls for help between March 16 and March 22, 2026, in Beaumont, Alberta. This number is a decrease from the 73 calls handled the previous week, but slightly higher than the 54 calls reported in late February.
Officers spent the week dealing with various community issues, including traffic collisions, thefts, and disturbances. Other police responses involved 911 hang-ups, fraud cases, and wellness checks where officers visit residents to ensure they are safe.
Beaumont is currently the fastest-growing community in the region, with the population reaching approximately 26,305 people. Despite this rapid growth, the area continues to be ranked as one of the safest places to live in the province with a crime rate well below the national average.
The Alberta RCMP recently reported that property crimes, such as vehicle thefts and break-ins, have hit a 10-year low across the province. Local officers continue to work with community partners to keep these numbers low while the city expands.
