The City of Beaumont, Alberta, has released its full schedule of traffic camera locations for March 2026 to encourage safer driving throughout the community. This month, enforcement will be active for all 31 days, with a major focus on keeping school zones safe for students and families.
According to the official March 2026 schedule, cameras will be placed near several local schools, including Beaumont High School, École Mother D’Youville School, and École Dansereau Meadows School. While most cameras will monitor for speeding, some locations near École Dansereau Meadows School will specifically check that drivers are coming to a full stop at stop signs.
The city currently has 24 eligible sites for these cameras after provincial rule changes that took effect on April 1, 2025. These rules now restrict the use of photo radar to school zones, playground zones, and construction areas to ensure the technology is used strictly for safety rather than making money. These changes reduced the number of enforcement sites in the community from 79 down to 24.
Operations for the program are managed by Conduent Business Solutions, while a trained Community Peace Officer runs the mobile unit. The city uses this program as part of a larger plan to reduce traffic violations and crashes by 5 per cent every year. By sharing these locations, officials hope to remind the 20,888 residents of Beaumont to watch their speed and help prevent accidents on the city’s 70 kilometres of local roads.
