The Beaumont RCMP is bringing back its popular Bike Rodeo for a third year, giving local kids a free and fun way to learn the rules of the road. The event will run Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the parking lot of the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre at 5001 Rue Eaglemont Street. No registration is needed, so families can simply show up.
“Whether your kiddo is a two-wheel pro or just getting started with training wheels, this is the perfect day to test their skills, grab some free food, and hang out with the local heroes keeping our community safe,” the RCMP said in its event notice. The Bike Rodeo is designed for children of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders.
Kids will weave, dodge, and pedal through an obstacle course built to teach bike safety skills in a hands-on way. After working up an appetite, they can refuel with free hot dogs, chips, and drinks, and stick around for prize draws. Partner groups, including Victim Services (CARVSS), Beaumont Citizens on Patrol, and Edmonton Search and Rescue, will be there to meet families and share safety information.
The event is a cornerstone of the RCMP’s community policing efforts, building positive connections with young residents while promoting road safety. The Bike Rodeo was first held in July 2024 and returned in August 2025, making this year’s edition the third in what has become an annual tradition.
Organisers are asking families to bring helmets and bikes, and to be ready for a morning of skill-building and fun. With Beaumont’s population topping 26,000 in 2025 and growing fast, the free, no-registration event offers an easy way for busy families to connect with their community.
