Residents in Beaumont, Alberta, will see a shift in their waste collection routines starting April 27, 2026, as the City of Beaumont returns to weekly organics collection for the summer months.
The move to weekly pickup for green waste carts is a seasonal change designed to manage the higher volume of yard and garden waste generated during warmer weather. This increased service level will continue until the end of October, at which point the city will return to a bi-weekly collection schedule for the winter.
The city provides waste, recycling, and organic collection services to more than 5,000 households. While organics collection is moving to a weekly rotation, residents should note that garbage continues to be picked up every other week year-round, while recycling collection remains on a weekly basis throughout the year.
To help residents manage these changes, the city recommends using its digital tools to confirm specific pickup days. Residents can download the Savvy Waste App, also known as Smart Savvy Green Beaumont, or visit the online waste collection tool to look up their address and download a personalized calendar.
