The Beausejour & District Chamber of Commerce has entered a new chapter this April with the announcement of a refreshed leadership team and the adoption of a formal 2026-2030 Strategic Plan for the Manitoba community.
The organization, which has served the area since 1938, officially appointed its new executive board to guide local business initiatives. Susan Greschuk of Century 21 Realty is serving as President, while Jesilyn Timmerman, owner of the local Pennyweight Market, has been named Vice President. Executive Director Mikayla Buss rounds out the leadership team alongside six newly appointed board directors.
Timmerman, who took ownership of the long-standing Pennyweight Market in June 2024, acts as an active member of the local business community. This role is intended to strengthen connections between the local business community and regional economic development efforts in Beausejour, a town of 3,307 residents located 46 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
The Beausejour & District Chamber of Commerce, which has been a member of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce since 1987, is currently encouraging local business owners to join the organization. New members are eligible for a 50 percent discount on their first-year membership fee. Benefits for those who join include access to provincial resources, such as group health benefits, and discounted rates for various business networking events.
The community can view the full details of the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan on the Chamber website. Local business owners interested in learning more about the organization or membership opportunities are encouraged to contact the Chamber office directly at 204-268-3502.
