The Beausejour Curling Club is preparing to host the 2026 Curling Club Provincials (formerly the Curling Club Championships) from March 26–29, 2026, bringing together top club-level players from across Manitoba to Beausejour.
The tournament is taking place at the Beausejour Sportsplex, where local athletes are competing for provincial honors. This event is a staple for the club, which operates a six-sheet facility that sees over 900 hours of use every year.
To participate in the event, all competitors must be registered with clubs that are members of CurlManitoba. This provincial rule ensures that all players are part of the official curling network in the province.
Local business Chef in the House is providing catering for the event. The company is run by Roger Wilton, a Red Seal Chef based in Beausejour who specializes in event catering and handcrafted soups.
The host club has a long history in the community and is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2030. While the club was first established in February 1930, the current building was rebuilt by volunteers and reopened in 1987 after a major fire destroyed the previous facility in 1986.
Today, the club offers several programs beyond competitive tournaments, including after-school curling for children in grades 4 to 8 and evening leagues for all skill levels. Spectators at the provincial championships can watch the action from the Icebreaker Lounge, which features a full view of the ice and monitors with overhead views of the houses.
