The Beausejour RCMP detachment is asking for the public’s help to locate a 22-year-old man wanted in connection with an attempted break and enter that took place in Beausejour, Manitoba, on March 29, 2026.
Officers were called to a residence in the 800 block of Ashton Avenue at approximately 2:24 a.m. after the homeowners reported hearing loud noises at their front door. The residents observed a man attempting to force his way inside, but the individual fled the property after realizing people were home.
Police searched the area using a drone operator and a police dog unit, but the suspect was not found at that time. Through a review of surveillance video, investigators later identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jacob Ashe from the Rural Municipality of Reynolds.
Ashe is currently wanted on charges of break and enter, mischief, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He is described as 5’11” tall and 185 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.
Authorities issued a public appeal on April 8, 2026, and are warning residents not to approach the suspect if he is seen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the local RCMP detachment or provide an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
