Assiniboine College is hosting a healthcare career information session on May 19, 2026, at the Sun Gro Centre to help Beausejour, Manitoba, residents learn about local training for nursing and other medical roles.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will provide details on practical nursing and other training paths that lead to jobs in the community. Organizers want to help people find ways to start working in the local medical field to help address the need for more workers.
The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is a key partner in this effort to grow the number of local medical professionals. This session builds on the work of a nursing school site in Beausejour that welcomed its first group of students in January 2025.
People who go to the Sun Gro Centre for the session can find out what they need to enter the programs and how to sign up. These training options are meant to give residents a clear path from their classes straight into a local job.
