Farmers in the Brandon, Manitoba area have a new resource for the spring planting season following the official opening of a Farmers Business Network distribution centre. The facility, located at 50 Limestone Rd E on the southeast side of the city, aims to provide local agricultural producers with faster access to essential supplies.
The new centre spans between 20,000 and 30,000 square feet and was built by Crane Construction to meet standards set by the Agri Cam Warehouse Standards Association. The warehouse stocks over 200 different products, including fertilizers, seed treatments, inoculants, and crop protection supplies.
Kevin Adair, the regional director for the company in Canada, described the new site as a game-changer for Manitoba farmers. He noted that the facility ensures timely access to necessary inputs during the busy spring season. Beyond simply stocking products, the centre provides direct-to-farm delivery using a local truck fleet and offers pickup options for customers. These pickups are available by appointment, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The opening of the Brandon location is part of a broader growth strategy for the company, which has been serving farmers in Manitoba for seven years. The expansion project has created five new full-time jobs in the community, encompassing roles in management, driving, and warehouse operations.
