The Brandon Police Service is looking for two suspects after 72 vehicles had their tires slashed in Brandon, Manitoba, overnight between March 10 and 11, 2026. The mass vandalism happened in the early morning hours and affected residents across at least seven different streets in the city’s south end.
Police confirmed that 72 incidents were reported, causing tens of thousands of dollars in property damage. The tires were punctured specifically in the sidewall, which means they cannot be repaired and must be replaced entirely. While most of the damage involved tires, at least one laptop was stolen from an unlocked vehicle during the spree.
Investigators from the major crimes unit describe the first suspect as wearing red jogging pants, a red hoodie, a black jacket, and sunglasses. The second suspect was reportedly wearing grey pants, a grey hoodie, a black vest over his hoodie, and black shoes. Vehicles were targeted on several streets, including Pine Ridge Crescent, Hawthorn Crescent, Magnolia Drive, Tracey Street, Sycamore Drive, Aspen Drive, and Mulberry Crescent.
At The Groves apartment complex alone, approximately 22 vehicles were found with damage. Brandon Crime Stoppers is now offering cash rewards of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. Police say the acts appear to be random and were not directed at any specific individual.
